MEET CECILIA

As owner of Rosebud Events, Cecilia prides herself in caring for others - although it used to look a bit different. She started her career path in the law enforcement field where she made great efforts to strengthen her community. In this line of work, she heavily used the skill of advocating for others, which is useful in the wedding industry when it comes to fulfilling her clients’ wishes. 

It wasn’t until she had the task of planning her own wedding where her passion grew for all things bridal. Instead of having nightmares of forgetting her gown on the big day and having to get wed in her PJs, she faced the planning process head on with her checklists and spreadsheets in hand. Being a natural organizer and planner, not only was the preparation for this big celebration challenging in the best way, it was fun! From there, Cecilia leaned into learning as much as she could about weddings. She worked for a luxury wedding planner with her focus on day-of coordination, servicing Philadelphia and the tri-state area. This was a turning point for Cecilia, as she was inspired by fulfilling dreams for her clients and experiencing love across different religions, ethnicities, and orientations. Wanting to gain further experience, she became a wedding coordinator/event manager for a high-in-demand wedding venue in a surrounding Philadelphia suburb. As her passion grew, she knew she found her niche and wanted to venture on her own. She broadened her knowledge of wedding planning and design through the New York Institute of Art & Design.

Other than browsing Pinterest for latest wedding trends, you can find Cecilia curled up watching crime TV with her husband and two rescue pups when she’s not working. She can also be caught wandering the aisles of home goods stores looking for the perfect piece to add to her collection. She enjoys cocktails and brunch with friends and she loves to host parties in her home, making sure everyone feels welcome and leaves feeling satisfied and full (of laughs and food!).
